custom florals

Engaged! You took the first step down the aisle by saying yes! Now the next step can be overwhelming ....the PLANNING. Let me start by saying that as an event professional, I really get (I mean really get) Professional Planners. They can be worth their weight in gold. Some of you will immediately think, NOT me...I got this... in that case YOU go! I'm just saying, think about it. If your venue is off the beaten path, Hire one. If your numbers creep above 200, Hire one. If you are doing a backyard, hire one... the list goes on, but I don't want to bore you!

What does wedding floral cost?

We value direct and honest communication - planning a wedding can be very costly and we are here to help stretch your dollar, as much as we can. We say we are happy to work with any budget and we mean it! So don't be afraid of making a budget and sticking to it. As florists, we can help you understand what floral fits inside the budget and help you prioritize the areas that are the most important to you (i.e., personal flowers such as bouquets and boutonnieres, or ceremony floral that can be repurposed and used again at the reception.)  Without this basic building block of determining your budget, it can be difficult to get the vision and budget to align.

 The first comment or question we usually hear is "I have no idea what my budget should be!" A good way to begin defining your budget is by asking the following questions Where do you want to spend your budget? What are your goals for your floral? Do you want to splurge on ceremony décor, or centerpieces, or BOTH?! Is your ultimate goal to be as economical as possible? (That's totally fine but be honest from the beginning.) Are there flowers you really want to include or are you open to other varieties that may look similar or be in season? We firmly believe that no one wedding, or couple is exactly the same, so of course no two weddings will ever be identical. And for that reason, everything we do is custom! We have events all over town for hippies, socialites, girls next door, boys next door.... we embrace anyone in love and getting married!

Here is a very general breakdown...this is a good concept, but few events fit entirely in one bracket.

Cost Estimates

Economy

begins at

$1,500 - $3,000

middle of the road

$3,000 - $7,000

Luxury

$7,500++

This is a budget based on getting the biggest bang for your buck. Typically, you don't have a preference on what specific types of blooms are used, maybe you are foregoing centerpieces or plan to do some DIY - maybe you just need a bouquet and/or boutonniere, as you're not planning to have a wedding party. This type of budget lends itself to smaller simple centerpieces, a greenery based look, or economical blooms.

This budget represents a couple that likes to splurge in some areas, but not all areas. Many people fall into this category, as there are many different costs that go into hosting a wedding. Plan on being able to see some Pinterest concepts come to life, but don't get ideas of grandeur unless you are willing to fall into the next bracket!

This is where some BIG things happen...Tall extravagant centerpieces (at least on some tables), extra areas like fireplace mantel greenery, fountain decor, impressive ceremony floral, lush lounge area floral, more than basic cocktail arrangements and so on...really in this category the sky is the limit and floral can drip from the rafters.... plan on a budget closer to the rafters to make floral happen EVERYWHERE.

Ultimately your budget can be whatever you want it to be. It is ALL about getting the budget and the vision on the same page. Know now, when you are planning, that most of what you see on Pinterest is Luxury. Don't despair.... we can get creative to fit some of your ideas into any budget. Just be realistic and honest with us and yourself about what you really want to spend on and where you want to save. This will save us all from talking about peonies for 2 hours if you can only afford carnations. We like to think of floral on a ladder, Peonies at the top and Carnations at the base.... Carnations can be a great way to stretch the budget, and I could show you some varieties you would never guess are economical!

Generally, a lot of folks fall in between brackets. The best advice is to have a general direction of where you want to go. Then fill out our contact form on our "Say Hello" page and let's get the ball rolling. We are here to help! We're excited to hear about your vision and learn more about your story and your ideas!
